With the advent of Rush Poker comes new possibilities to the world of online poker - here's a suggestion I just sent to Full Tilt support:
Hi there,
With the advent of Rush Poker comes the opportunity for Full Tilt to introduce to online poker a game which previously provided too many opportunities for cheaters. I am referring to "Blind Man's Bluff", the Hold'em Game where each player is unaware of his/her own hole cards, but does know everyone else's cards at the table.
There has always been suspicion of cheating in online poker, and up until this point Blind Man's Bluff provided too easy of an outlet for cheaters to take control of the game. However, by combining Blind Man's Bluff with Rush Poker (that is, only allow Blind Man's Bluff to be played under Rush Poker format), the ability to cheat with a friend playing the game is removed.
When I play dealer's choice home games with friend's, Blind Man's Bluff hands always provide the largest pots - something which Full Tilt can appreciate, as large pots equal large rakes. This is a game which can only benefit all parties involved. From the programming standpoint, it is only a simple change to the SQL query used to grab the hands for each player (or whatever query language is used in your backend), as the rules are otherwise exactly like hold'em.
I trust Full Tilt will make the right decision regarding this suggestion, and start implementing Blind Man's Bluff as soon as possible.
Kind Regards,
