I normally agree, however his stack size screwed up my thinking - given the size of the blinds I had a feeling he was simply trying to make a play in order to stay alive.  As this hand is a little old, I can't quite remember how villain was playing in general, but stack size differential made a HUGE difference between "easy fold" and "insta-call".

Yeh I see what you are saying. He could have a lesser hand than you and play
the same way.

It's reasonable to put him on flush draw/an A or other pair/a bluff
His BB check doesn't point to him holding a monster hand preflop does it.

I don't play Omaha often and I don't know what my line of thought was when I posted my reply.
It may be I thought it was an Oh8 game.

On reflection, I think I might call this. As far as I can see I'm wanting to avoid
an A8xx/K8xx hand. Most other likely holdings and you'll be around 65% fave I'd guess.

Would he shove allin on an A8?

Considering your stack, you have plenty of time to wait for more comfortable spots so a fold is ok
but it's a $2 game and you still have chips if you lose. Yeah call.

Villain ended up holding A845ds for the boat and I doubled him up.  Really, there were a few things going into my thinking:

1) A couple draws out there, villain could very easily be semi-bluffing given his need to gamble.
2) Up to this point I believe I had been playing somewhat tight preflop, and VERY aggressive post-flop.  If I fold to villain's raise it looks like I've been bluffing the entire time.  If I call and lose, it looks like I'm bluffing the entire time.  Either way, my image is ruined.  However, if I obtain a calling-station image from this play, my implied odds down the line (when holding the absolute nuts) increase dramatically.
